WEDDING CAKES
Deciding on your wedding cake is fun and simple, by keeping the following factors in mind:
- Attendees
- Flavor
- Location
- Design
Typically, cakes for fewer than ten guests are one tier, and cakes for more than ten guests are two or three tiers. Cake pricing starts at $6 per person with a minimum purchase price of $115.
Wedding cakes are traditionally a Vanilla flavor. Popular flavors in the Florida Keys include Key Lime, Orange, Yellow Cake and Chocolate. Fillings include Vanilla, Key Lime, Raspberry, Fudge and Pastry Cream.
We recommend Rolled Fondant, a smooth, firm finish, which is an ideal base for specialty decorations and holds well in a tropical climate while retaining its beauty, design and flavor.

FLOWERS
What would a wedding be without flowers? This traditional part of every wedding brings beauty, fragrance, and color to the event and adds that finishing touch to the ceremony and reception. Consider again the overall style and color scheme of your wedding.
Flowers that will be in season at the time of your wedding will be easier to get and less costly. This is not to say the others won't be available; you can get almost anything at any time. In the Florida Keys you will usually see tropical arrangements of orchids or lilies.

BOUQUETS
Among all the shapes and types of flowers available, you should find something perfect for you, and the gown you have selected. Bridal Bouquets typically cost $165 and up. The most popular styles include:
Cascade
A bouquet of flowers and greenery that flows down from the holder, full at the top, dropping into tendrils of flowers.
Arm Bouquet
A sweeping arrangement of long-stemmed flowers and greenery to be cradled in your arm. Usually the stems are secured with ribbon, either braided or hand-tied.
Nosegay
A small, round, very uniform bouquet of like blossoms, their stems typically tightly wrapped with ribbon and tied.
Tussy-Mussy or Hand-Tied
Also very popular with modern brides is the hand-tied bouquet of blossoms and greenery.
Boutonnieres
Groom, Fathers, and Ushers traditionally wear boutonnieres, generally a single blossom such as a rosebud or shaft of lilies of the valley. All of the men's boutonnieres are alike except for the groom's. He wears something a little special. Prices are $35 and up.
Bridesmaids' and Maid of Honor's Flowers
The bridesmaids' bouquets are generally smaller and should coordinate with the bridal bouquet. The size and color should complement their dresses and the overall look of the wedding. The maid or matron of honor's bouquet may be of a different color, depending on her dress, or larger in size to set her apart from the others. Maid of Honor and bridesmaid's bouquets are $85 and up.
Flower Girl
Most flower girls wear a delicate wreath in their hair and carry a nosegay or small basket decorated with flowers and colored ribbons. The basket is filled with rose petals to be scattered in the path of the bride. Rose Petals are approximately $100 per bag and are used for scattering down the aisle.
Hairpieces
You may decide to wear flowers in your hair rather than another type of headpiece. They may be worn alone or as a delicate wreath with a veil attached to the back. Prices are $100 and up.
Mothers and Grandmothers
Both of your mothers and grandmothers should be presented a corsage to either pin on their dress or handbag; or, if preferred, they may wear the corsage around a wrist. Check to see which style they would prefer, or if a special color is needed to coordinate with their dresses. Prices range from $75 and up.
Centerpieces
The flowers for the reception, like everything else, should fit your style and color scheme. Most reception flowers include table decorations which can be cut flowers, or consider woven baskets with bright flowers or tropical fruit. The arrangements should complement the table linens and the size of the table. Centerpieces start at $55 and up.
